Hi, I’m Deshonda Washington, the owner of Birth with Dee and a certified birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout South Jersey, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas.

Before becoming a doula, I worked in women’s health and fertility care as a clinical coordinator. I also hold an Associate degree in Health Science. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional sides of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

I am a ProDoula Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, a VBAC Link Certified Doula, a MEGI Health Certified High-Risk Doula, and I am CPR certified. I support families through vaginal births, cesarean births, VBAC preparation, inductions, high-risk pregnancies, IVF journeys, postpartum recovery, and the unexpected changes that can happen along the way.

As an IVF mom, this work is especially personal to Deshonda. She understands the emotions that can come with the journey to parenthood and is committed to making sure her clients never feel alone. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, painting, listening to music, and connecting with loved ones. She brings that same warmth, compassion, and authenticity to every family she supports.
